AI Diagnoses Diseases Without a Symptom: Says Dubai

Yes, Dubai has revealed the most relieving yet innovative news that will be fulfilled by 2025.

Almost every corner of the world heard the scream of the pandemic. The world population has greatly declined. Using the same old method of performing medicinal practices is no longer an appropriate method. Keeping it in mind, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has disclosed something essential for human healthcare.

Arab Health 2023 at Dubai World Trade Centre

From January 30 to February 2, 2023, Dubai hosted ARAB HEALTH 2023. It is the largest healthcare annual exhibition, “Arab Health,” that took place at Dubai World Trade Centre. More than 5,000 exhibitors use this platform to showcase their cutting-edge technology as well as innovative products and services. Many medical professionals from various verticals came together and explored.

Dubai: AI Diagnoses Diseases Without a Symptom!

During the Arab Health 2023 event, the DHA proclaimed that by using the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Dubai will treat 30 diseases by 2025. Additionally, they have declared that AI will identify and treat diseases even before the symptoms appear. In the case of many diseases, early detection provides an opportunity for easier treatment and cure. This can also reduce health risks and unnecessary medical expenses. The need for such an innovation is a necessity now due to several factors, like non-communicable diseases, an increase in lifestyle illnesses, population growth, and higher life expectancy.

AI at Its Best! And Its How?

The EJADAH, a predictive model initially introduced in June last year, seeks to build on services and preventative care, resulting in enhanced public health and lower costs. In Arabic, the word EJADAH means proficiency. This is a value-based model that prioritises quality medical services over quantity. Whether the treatments are successful or not, this model will work on patient-reported outcome measures (PROMS).

Dubai Will Focus More Diseases on Year by Year

This year, they will focus on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), osteoporosis, hyperthyroidism, atopic dermatitis, urinary tract infections, migraine, and myocardial infarction (MI).

Peptic ulcer disease, rheumatoid arthritis, obesity, metabolic syndrome, polycystic ovarian syndrome, acne, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and arrhythmia will be the priority in 2024.

Gallstones, osteoporosis, thyroid disease, dermatitis, psoriasis, CHD/stroke, DVT, and renal failure will continue to be of key concern in 2025.

Role of Medical Data Labeler

If an ML model is working perfectly, it means the model is trained with accurate data. Wondering how those data were made? Well, it is by the process “Medical data labeling”, which is nothing but identifying raw data (image, audio, video, and texts) and tagging them with one or more meanings. The quality of the data is the next significant factor for an accurate prediction. For attaining such good quality data, ultimately we need expert medical data labelers who perform medical labeling with the utmost precision. Featuring Medrays from Infolks Group, a rapidly emerging medical data labeling company with an experienced physician panel and expert data labelers.
